Help
SPLYFF keeps your shared expenses on cards, one for every person and every group. Add who paid, and SPLYFF works out who owes whom. Your cards live on your iPhone; shared cards are stored encrypted with Apple.
How do I invite friends to a card?
Open the card and tap the person icon with the plus at the top right. Choose how to send the link, e.g. WhatsApp. Your friends need SPLYFF (version 1.1 or later) and must be signed in to iCloud. After opening the link, they tap their name once. If you have shared a card before, the next one appears for them automatically, no link needed.
Do my friends need the app?
No. You can add anyone and request money via WhatsApp or Messages. Only people who want to add entries to a shared card need SPLYFF on their iPhone.
Can I enter other currencies?
Yes. When adding an amount, tap the € sign and choose US dollar or South African rand. SPLYFF converts it at the European Central Bank’s daily rate. Each entry keeps the rate of the day it was added.
How do card payments get into SPLYFF?
In onboarding or in your profile, tap “Add shortcut”. After that, every Wallet payment lands in your cards as a suggestion. In the Shortcuts app, check that “Automation” is turned on for it.
How much does SPLYFF cost?
Your first 5 entries are free, then a whole month more. After that, unlock SPLYFF once for €2.99 – no subscription. The app shows a note a few days before. Viewing and exporting are always free.
New iPhone or reinstalled the app?
Open your profile (top left) and tap “Restore purchases”. Shared cards come back automatically if iCloud Keychain is on. Cards you haven’t shared live only on your iPhone, so export them first as a spreadsheet (in the card: “⋯ → Export as spreadsheet”).
